Immunising children and infants – December 2021 (virtual event)
This webinar was delivered to support providers administering COVID-19 vaccines to the paediatric population. It included information on:
age-appropriate positioning for safe vaccination
distraction tools for different age groups
communication and consent
recognising of AEFI and how they pay present in a paediatric population
required documentation
identifying anatomical landmarks and correct site for injection in infants and children (anterolateral thigh and the deltoid)
strategies to manage difficult immunisation encounters.
