Terms and conditions

In registering for the Melbourne Vaccine Education Centre (MVEC) Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022, delegates, speakers and sponsors agree to the following Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022 terms and conditions:

Privacy

Your contact details will be used for the purpose of conducting the conference and may be made available to the Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022, event organisers, event collaborators, the online host organisation being University of Melbourne, and sponsors. Should you not wish for your details to be used for these purposes, please contact the Events Team, by emailing [email protected] before or on 2^nd August 2022.

Photography and Recording

By registering, delegates, speakers and sponsors irrevocably authorise and grant MVEC the right to:

record me (picture and voice) on photographs, film and/or video tape, for audio and visual production (the Recording);
edit the Recording into a photo gallery / short film / webinar (which may include other recordings and material);
use my name and likeness, voice biographic or other information concerning me;
screen or place online (including on social media) the Recording;
own all rights, title and interest (including copyright) in the Recording.

Delegates, speakers and sponsors release MVEC from any infringement or violation of personal and / or property rights of any sort whatsoever based upon the use of the Recording.

Delegates, speakers and sponsors further acknowledge that MVEC is not obliged to use the Recording and will receive no monies for this Recording.

Delegates, speakers and sponsors warrant that they have full power to enter into this Release and that the terms of this Release do not in any way conflict with any existing commitment on their part.

While under no obligation to do so, MVEC will consider any reasonable request not to use or to stop using a particular Recording. Such requests should be made in writing to [email protected] .

Should you not wish to grant MVEC these rights, please contact [email protected] prior to 2^nd August 2022.

Fees and Payments

Payment to attend the MVEC Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022 must be made in accordance with the following conditions unless otherwise agreed with MVEC.

Whichever comes first:

Within 14 days of receiving the tax invoice;
10 business days prior to the conference start date

The organisers reserve the right, without notification, to cancel outstanding accounts any time after 14 days from date of tax invoice being sent. All registrations received after 2^nd August 2022 must be paid in full by credit card only, no tax invoices are able to be issued for payment.

If payment is not received prior to the Conference, access will be granted only after full payment is made via credit card only. Note: non-payment does not constitute as a cancellation. MVEC reserves the right to refuse access to any delegate/s that have not paid in full for their registration fees.

Force Majeure

Indemnity

Should, for any reason outside the control of MVEC, the speakers change or the event be cancelled, MVEC will endeavour to reschedule where possible. In this instance the delegate will indemnify and hold MVEC harmless from and against any and all costs, damages and expenses. MVEC does not accept responsibility for, and the presenters and authors indemnifies MVEC against, any costs or charges incurred by the presenters and authors in the process of participating in the Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022. This agreement is subject to the laws of Victoria and agreement to these terms and conditions indicates acceptance of this indemnity.

Transfer of Tickets

Cancellation or refund of purchased tickets are not allowed, but may be transferred to another appointed delegate; all transfers must be notified in writing by emailing to [email protected] before or on 2^nd August 2022. Transfers will not be deemed to be received until you have written confirmation from MVEC. If the transfer is not received in writing, the registration will not be transferred. Transfers received in writing by MVEC before or on 2^nd August 2022 will incur a $50 administration fee. There will be no transfers allowed after 2^nd August 2022. No tentative bookings will be accepted. No shared registrations will be accepted.

Change of Registration Type

In the event that Government related COVID-19 restrictions prevent a delegate from attending the Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022 face-to-face, the delegate will be offered a full refund within 30 business days.

COVID-19 Protocol

In registering for the Face-to-Face Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022, delegates agree to comply with all COVID-19 measures and protocols. Delegates, sponsors and speakers may be asked to show proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status prior to entry to the Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022.

Disclaimer

At the time of registration, MVEC provided the most recent information available and the delegate and/or speaker accept that the content and/or the delivery of the Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022 can change beyond the control of MVEC. MVEC will not take any responsibility for any errors, omissions and changes to the program or content of the Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022. MVEC reserves the right to make changes as it deems necessary without penalty and in such situations no refunds, part refunds or alternative offers shall be made. Should, for any reason outside the control of MVEC, the speakers change or the event be cancelled, MVEC will endeavour to reschedule. In this instance the delegate will indemnify and hold MVEC harmless from and against any and all costs, damages and expenses. MVEC does not accept responsibility for, and the delegate indemnifies MVEC against, any costs or charges incurred by the delegate in the process of participating in the Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022. This agreement is subject to the laws of Victoria and agreement to these terms and conditions indicates acceptance of this indemnity.

Neither party shall be liable in damages or have the right to terminate this Agreement for any delay or default in performing hereunder if such delay or default is caused by conditions beyond its control including, but not limited to Acts of God, Government restrictions (including the denial or cancellation of any export or other necessary license), wars, insurrections and/or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the party whose performance is affected. Subject to any amendments specified in subsequent event order/registration forms or terms and conditions, the Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022 order/registration form and these terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior discussions, negotiations and agreements in relation to the Immunisation Skills Workshop 2022.
